Play Beverages Expands Distribution Of Playboy Energy Drink

DBR Staff Writer Published 06 December 2009

Inks agreements with three New York, New Jersey distributors

Play Beverages, a licensee of Playboy Enterprises International, in conjunction with CirTran Beverage, said that it has signed agreements in New York with Harold Levinson Associates and Pure Water Solutions, both of Farmingdale, and in Southern New Jersey with Beverage Incubators of Egg Harbor Township.

Playboy energy drink is available in 8.4 and 16ounce sizes in both regular and sugar free. The drink, which was introduced in South Florida and California in late 2007, is also distributed in 11 countries in Europe and the Middle East.

Robert Nistico, president of Play Beverages, said: “There is great excitement in the beverage industry about Playboy Energy Drink. The Playboy name is widely recognized and very attractive at retail, and Playboy Energy Drink has been an overwhelming favorite in taste tests. It is a winner to be sure, whether sold on- or off-premises, here in the U.S. or around the world.”

Mr. Nistico added that distribution of Playboy energy drink is continuing to grow domestically, with three new distribution agreements announced in Northern and Southern California last week and with other agreements now being finalized.

According to the company, the agreement with Harold Levinson Associates will bring the drink to a wide range of convenience and grocery stores throughout the Northeast territory served by the company, which has distribution facilities in Farmingdale and Albany, New York, Auburn, Massachusetts and Naugatuck, Connecticut.

Pure Water Solutions (PWS), based in Long Island, is a marketing and beverage distributor serving Suffolk and Nassau counties, focusing on what it claims as 'unique beverage products with strong strategic advantages over their competition,' including Playboy Energy Drink. PWS boasts of having around 1,000 accounts including 7-Eleven, Handy Pantry and Atlantis Marine World.

The company said that the agreement with Beverage Incubators will bring Playboy energy drink to a wide range of bars, restaurants, convenience and grocery stores throughout the South Jersey territory of Camden, Gloucester, Cape May, Atlantic, Cumberland, and Salem counties.
